What is the difference between a freelance permit and a freelance license?
Both are sole proprietor establishments issued in your own name, and with either one your work stays freelance. The difference is what you can do with it:

When is a freelance permit enough?
When you will work in a professional activity without invoicing clients, and you don’t need a residency visa of your own, family sponsorship or a business bank account — for example, because you already live here on another visa. Changing from a permit to a license later can add fees and processing, so tell your consultant what you may need before you choose.
Does a freelance license guarantee a business bank account?
No. A freelance license gives access to a business bank account, but the account itself is approved by the bank under its own policies and compliance checks. Help with opening one is included only if your quotation says so.
What happens if my application is rejected?
If the initial approval is rejected, Trivup deducts AED 1,000 as an application processing, administrative and documentation fee, and refunds the rest of what you paid for the initial application. Government fees, third-party charges and bank charges already incurred may also be deducted, backed by payment records. Your terms set out the details.
Can Trivup guarantee approval?
No. Every permit, license and residence visa is decided by the relevant UAE authorities. Trivup is a private company that provides consultancy, preparation and document clearing support for a service fee.
Can I apply directly, without Trivup?
Yes. Where a direct application channel is available, you can apply through the relevant official UAE authority yourself. Trivup is an optional private service.
